1. General Provisions
This regulation aims to ensure visitors a pleasant, safe, and respectful experience at the Museum of Natural History Iași. By accessing the museum, visitors accept and commit to adhering to the rules outlined in this document.
Access to the museum is based on the purchased ticket, valid only on the day of issuance. The fees, schedule, and visiting conditions may change and are displayed at the entrance and on the museum’s website.
2. Visitor Behaviour
To protect the museum’s heritage and to ensure an optimal visiting experience, visitors are asked to adhere to the following rules:
- Maintain civilized behaviour and appropriate language.
- Follow the instructions provided by the museum staff.
- Avoid touching exhibits, showcases, and technical installations.
- Consumption of food or drinks is prohibited in the exhibition areas.
- Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is prohibited inside the museum.
- Access with pets is prohibited, except for guide dogs for persons with disabilities.
3. Photography and Filming
Photography without flash is allowed for personal use, provided it does not disturb other visitors or affect the exhibits. Flash, tripods, additional lighting, or professional filming require prior approval from the museum.
4. Access for Groups and Minors
- Organized student groups must be accompanied by at least one responsible adult.
- Parents and children’s companions assume responsibility for supervising them during the visit.
- Large groups are kindly requested to follow staff instructions to avoid overcrowding spaces.
5. Permitted and Prohibited Items
Access to the museum is not allowed with:
- hazardous or flammable substances
- weapons or blunt objects
- large luggage that can damage exhibits or hinder circulation
Large bags and backpacks must be stored in the specially designated area (if available).
6. Safety and Responsibility
The museum reserves the right to limit access to certain areas for conservation, cleaning, security, or special event reasons.
Visitors are responsible for any damage to museum property caused by negligence or breach of the regulations.
In case of evacuation, all visitors must follow the instructions of the staff.
7. Accessibility
The museum strives to facilitate access for individuals with special needs, including reduced mobility, visual or hearing impairments, or cognitive needs. Museum staff are available to offer assistance as far as possible.
8. Ticket Refund
Purchased tickets are non-refundable, except in situations where the museum cannot provide the corresponding services (e.g., temporary closure, major technical issues). These situations will be publicly communicated.
9. Lost Property
Visitors are requested to inform the staff in case of lost or found items. The museum does not assume responsibility for personal belongings left unattended.
